Our History
Built by sharpeners, chefs, and people who care about good tools, Mr. Sharpe started with one simple goal: bring old-school craftsmanship to today’s kitchens fast, friendly, and razor-precise.
2021 – Mr. Sharpe is Born
What began as a one-man operation sharpening blades in Southern California quickly caught fire with home cooks and pros alike. The idea? Make high-quality sharpening more accessible to people who care about their tools.
2022 – First Commercial Accounts & Farmers Markets
Restaurants came calling and so did the farmers markets. We picked up our first weekly commercial accounts and launched a regular booth at the Santa Monica Farmers Market, getting to know our community one blade at a time.
2023 – Mobile Sharpening Van Launched
With demand rising, we rolled out our fully-equipped sharpening van. Now, chefs, barbers, and businesses across LA and Orange County could get pro sharpening right at their door.
2024 – Nationwide Mail-In Service
Time to go national. We launched our mail-in knife sharpening kits, making it easy for customers across all 50 states to ship, sharpen, and slice with confidence.
2025 – Retail Shop + Knife Sales Expansion
We opened our Signal Hill retail location offering walk-in sharpening, curated knives and accessories, and hands-on sharpening education. Online knife sales followed, bringing trusted blades to kitchens everywhere.
