What is the free weekly webinar?+
It's a short live session, every Monday, to learn about Mr. Sharpe and exactly how the knife exchange works — the knives, the delivery cadence, the pricing, and how the 2-week trial goes. No pressure, no pitch; bring your questions. Can't make it this week? Hop on the next one. Save your seat →
Do I have to cancel my current service to try Mr. Sharpe?+
No. We recommend running our knives alongside your current service during the 2-week trial. This lets you see the difference in edge retention without any operational risk.
What's included per exchange?+
Your Sharpe Dozen — 12 rotating professional chef knives plus 2 bonus knives you keep — precision-sharpened and rotated on a fixed schedule, and we sharpen your crew's personal knives, too. One rate per exchange, month-to-month, no bundles or linens attached. Running a bigger line? Our 24-knife set is $125 per exchange.
How do you handle institutional billing?+
We carry general liability coverage and the policies larger organizations require, so we can accommodate corporations, hospitals, school districts, casinos, resorts, and hotels — with billing that fits your procurement and accounting workflows.
Is this a mail service or a local route?+
It's a hybrid. We use local route technicians in Fresno and LBC for certain on-site services, while accounts outside those areas are handled by delivery (UPS and USPS). We do it this way to keep pricing competitive — and in our experience it makes for a better partnership in the long run.
How do the "2 bonus knives" work?+
You receive 12 rotating exchange knives plus 2 bonus knives — your choice of offset serrated or custom bar knives. The bonus knives stay in your kitchen permanently; we replace them once they're worn — up to twice a year.
How do you handle lost or missing knives?+
Every account gets an allowance of 4 missing knives a year — no charge. Beyond that, replacements are billed at a discounted retail rate of $12 each. We also do a full inventory true-up at least 3 times a year to reset your set; depending on wear and how often your knives are sharpened, that may happen more or less often.
